Cure Rare Disease is a nonprofit organization focused on ending rare, neuromuscular diseases for which there are no treatments or cures. We develop customized therapeutics through our collaborations with leading researchers and clinicians to develop customized therapeutics with unparalleled speed for those who have no other hope. Social Media & Design Intern

Cure Rare Disease is looking for a Social Media & Design intern to manage our social media strategy, content creation, and engagement efforts. Responsibilities: Social media content creation and curation Increasing social media engagement and followers across our 5 platforms Engaging in existing dialogues pertaining to CRD to further the awareness of Cure Rare Disease which is ultimately expected to increase funds raised Cooperatively developing content strategies (with our marketing and PR teams) to increase our awareness and engagement with stakeholders and potential supporters. A successful candidate will work cross-functionally and closely with the CEO Moreover, this person would be responsible for the graphic design of marketing and collateral materials. Specifically, this includes: Use of Adobe Illustrator/Creative Cloud to design sponsorship packets, marketing material for fundraising campaigns, marketing materials for CRD events Other design work as needed and also as relating to digital media The position is ideal for a young, passionate individual looking to use social media and design to effect large-scale change in the rare disease space through a lean, nimble and well-connected organization. The opportunity is an intern position for the summer of 2020 with flexible but demanding hours. Candidates have the ability to work remotely, though weekly in-person meetings are required Required skills and abilities: Impeccable attention to detail and excellent writing/communication skills initiative/self-starting and ability to think outside the box and take ownership Mastery level of skill with software programs including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator especially) Mastery of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube Ability to learn quickly is desired as is a tenacious personality and strong story-telling abilities Get it done attitude – it’s a lean organization so candidates are expected to wear multiple hats Strong preference for someone who has a vested interest in curing rare diseases or is passionate about innovative science How to Apply: Please send a resume and cover letter to Rachel Duncan at info@cureRD.com
