Are you a detail-oriented people person with a knack for connecting people virtually? Do you enjoy wrangling numbers and making businesses run smoothly? Could you teach Marie Kondo a thing or two about organization? Then this role might be for you.

Why now? Crescendo is gearing up for growth. Our inclusion platform is used by companies around the world, and we’re ready to scale our team to meet the global demand. As our Business Administrator, you will play a key role in managing operations as we grow. You’ll be responsible for recruiting the best candidates, managing finances, and ensuring that Crescendo is a healthy, inclusive, and fun place to work as we triple in size over the next year.

As our Business Administrator, you will:

  • Recruit and screen candidates for Crescendo’s open roles
  • Manage day-to-day finances including payroll, reimbursements, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Onboard new employees and ensure that they are set up for success at Crescendo
  • Facilitate our training program for employees
  • Work with our HR firm to manage human resources and maintain a healthy, inclusive team culture at Crescendo
  • Manage the procurement process and navigate vendor contracts to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Work closely with the CEO to plan budget each quarter and prepare financial reports
  • Organize and lead quarterly and monthly business review meetings
  • Manage Crescendo’s device pool, including provisioning, updating, and recalling the devices (laptops, phones, and other equipment) provided to staff by Crescendo
  • Coordinate team activities, both virtual and in-person

The skillset:

  • Experience building teams at early/growth stage companies, including managing recruiting and onboarding processes
  • Knowledge of and experience with the best finance and operations practices for startup growth
  • Experience managing day-to-day finances (especially for a SaaS company or product)
  • Ability to spot opportunities for improvement and see them through
  • Strong time management, goal-setting, and organizational skills

Nice to have, but not essential:

  • Bilingual (English and French preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business administration

Compensation:

  • Salary: 50-70K CAD

Director of Sales

The Director of Sales at Crescendo will be responsible for preparing our sales organization to scale. You will play a pivotal role in amplifying our early success and establishing us as the industry leader in the North American market.

As a senior member of our team reporting to the CEO, the Director of Sales will be responsible for building and executing a plan to significantly expand our customer base primarily with mid-market and large enterprises, building on a strong foundation of the many world-renowned organizations who already use and love Crescendo.

About the Role:

  • Set and achieve new business revenue targets aligned to company goals and own all sales pipeline and conversion metrics, quarterly and annual sales goals, and other revenue KPIs
  • Manage accurate quarterly and annual pipeline and forecasting across the company
  • Improve our SaaS sales process so it is can scale as we grow the sales team
  • Actively hire and continuously develop a talented and motivated sales team who succeed by being human-centric and empathetic sellers
  • Grow and accelerate the sales funnel by developing a repeatable and proven outbound selling approach within our Ideal Customer Profile
  • Work directly with the Head of Marketing to collaborate on demand generation campaigns and strategies that result in rapid growth of qualified pipeline, new customer acquisition and net new bookings ARR
  • Work with our Product, Engineering and Customer Success leadership to clearly articulate customer and market opportunities and needs that directly impact top-line outcomes

What we’re looking for:

  • An individual with 3 years selling experience and 3 years of sales leadership experience
  • A sales leader who has experience both building and executing a go-to-market model in a fast growing B2B technology company
  • Experience recruiting, on-boarding, training and retaining high performers
  • An inclusive leader who understands the privileges they carry through the world and how it impacts or influences those around them
  • An individual who has experience building a diverse team and inclusive workplace culture
  • Demonstrated experience building a collaborative environment between sales, customer success, marketing, and product
  • A strong understanding of effective SaaS sales strategy that reaches and influences executive-level buyers in mid-market and enterprise customer segments

  • Experience with relational (MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Elastic Search) databases
  • Experience with container-based deployment tools such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Interest in devops (deployment, ongoing integration)

Nice to have, but not essential:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes
  • Experience working with message broker, message routing and developing microservices such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka
  • Cloud Technology Certifications on AWS or Azure
