experience at top global companies including KPMG , Accenture , Citi Bank and

ByteDance . We’re backed by SAP and our advisors include Oprah Winfrey’s

longest-serving Chief of Staff: Libby Moore .

 

Job Summary

Africave is looking for a Head of Global Partnerships to build relationships with

employers in the USA & Europe, helping us connect Africa's most talented software

engineers with global opportunities. Simply, while we assess and recruit the best

software engineering talent in Africa into our pool, your job is to give them jobs.

The right candidate will have strategic and hands-on experience defining, implementing

and growing large-scale programs for global companies. This includes demonstrated

business development and selling experience, and experience in developing

programmatic approaches to build and scale partnership programs, strong program and

project management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong

data and metrics bias, a good understanding of the remote software development job

market, and a passion for helping people transform their lives through education and

opportunity.

 

Responsibilities

● Establish long-term partnerships with software engineering employers in the US

& Europe, both with remote-only and remote-first companies, as well as with

local companies in our beachhead markets.

● Create a partner engagement framework, evaluating new partners, markets and

growth opportunities

● Build a pipeline of potential partnerships and initiate contact and negotiations

with decision-makers within those companies

● Manage relationships with employers to understand their hiring needs, develop

personalized training programs, understand their selection process, collect

feedback about our engineers, implement mentorship initiatives, and facilitate the

participation of their team members in our community through webinars, mock

interviews, and other events.

● Cultivate executive relationships with partners and identify additional business

opportunities to expand revenue

● Identify new strategic verticals and markets to expand our value proposition and

focus our growth efforts.

● Manage and growing a world-class business development team to meet the

expectations of our talent pool and growth objectives.

● Establish partnerships with other organizations such as content providers, job

listing companies, and governments.

 

Requirements (what we’d LOVE to see)

● 2+ years of business development or partnerships experience with technology

companies

● Successful track record of developing, establishing, and closing strategic

partnerships

● Experience managing and growing a team

● Extensive understanding of industry trends and the key players in the competitive

landscape

● Results-oriented with strong communication, and relationship management skills

● Positive attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and dig deep to achieve

growth goals

● Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data analysis into strategic insights

in order to drive the partner program strategy

● Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, ability to impact and influence

outcomes in a matrixed environment

● Demonstrated ability to negotiate high-value deals with a C-level audience

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Flexibility to travel between your base location and HQ in Nigeria frequently
